With more than 630 attendees from 200 plus health-related companies present at the Georgia Health IT Summit, it's easy to see Georgia is making a difference in providing better overall care for patients. Thanks to Georgia Tech and a large IBM (formerly Internet Security Systems) office in our city establishing successful roots in security, in conjunction with Georgia’s recent ranking as the movie film capital second to Hollywood, our state is positioned for continued growth, notably in the area of health IT.
Liaison, like many other companies in the area, is hiring for healthcare experience, doing our part to help the economy based on the success we’re having in the healthcare and life sciences industries.
Some of the great speakers at the Georgia Health IT Summit included:
- Dr. Mark Dente (pictured), chief medical informatics officer at GE Healthcare, who spoke on the forward-thinking innovations the company is researching to help patients
- Dr. Kenneth Wilson, who shared the advanced research the Morehouse School of Medicine is doing to improve response time for trauma treatment of soldiers overseas while addressing their needs.
Sometimes "it takes a village", but in healthcare it takes the world. At Liaison we’re proud to have our foundation in the national capital for health IT, and we will continue striving to do our part for improved patient care.
Until next time,
Gary
